Dr. Emad Abdou

    Dr. Emad Abdou is a Brooklyn native who received his bachelor's degree from Hunter College.  He went on to complete his dental education at New York University College of Dentistry. Following this, he worked at Wyckoff Medical Center in Brooklyn for his General Practice Residency, where his passion for surgery developed. He began his surgical training with a one-year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery internship at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx followed by a four-year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the University of Arizona-College of Medicine.

    Dr. Abdou then pursued a one-year fellowship in pediatric maxillofacial surgery at the prestigious Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. During this time, he received extensive training in the treatment of facial congenital anomalies as well as neonatal & pediatric maxillofacial pathology under some of the world’s leading experts in the specialty. Dr. Abdou  specializes in the treatment of children and adults with facial anomalies including cleft lip & palate, corrective jaw surgery, tumors & cysts of the face and jaws. In addition, he has a special interest in dentoalveolar surgery, complex bone grafting and dental implant reconstruction.

    He is a member of the American and International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, New York State Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and American Dental Association.
