Dr. Pierluigi Balice

    Dr. Pierluigi Balice earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), summa cum laude, from the University of Bari, Italy, his country of origin.

    He completed his three-year specialty training in Periodontics at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he received both a Certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Dental Science degree

    Dr. Balice is an American Board-Certified Periodontist and Dental Implant Surgeon,an achievement that reflects advanced clinical expertise and distinction beyond the standard requirements of the specialty. He previously served as a full-time Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Dentistry. During his time there, he also earned a second DDS degree, becoming dual licensed in both the United States and Europe.

    Dr. Balice currently serves as Clinical Faculty and Lecturer in the AdvancedEducation Program in Periodontology at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. In this role, he lectures on periodontics and implant dentistry and trains Harvard residents in advanced surgical procedures. He is also a lecturer in the International Implant Program at New York University College of Dentistry, where he teaches advanced implant dentistry to international clinicians. Dr. Balice lectures both nationally and internationally and is an active member of several professional dental organizations in the United States and Europe. His clinical practice is limited to periodontics and implant dentistry. He is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish.
